Coincidentally started playing this 3 days ago on PS3. Played it on PS2 years and years ago but never finished it. So far my only complaint is the colors are a little overstated. Especially visible when there is directly sunlight on the player character.

I also paid around $11 total with shipping included to buy the game. This remake wasn't needed.

Never did buy the Ps3 version, so i'm honestly considering grabbing the new one. Don't feel like digging my ps3 out of the closet and buying it, don't know where the fuck my ps2 is either.

The reveal trailer just looked off to me. It seemed like it was too bright and sunny, even though the original was mostly dark and cloudy.

To be honest most of the cut colossi were not implemented at all and only a few were really cut with all of them either just being bad, not nearly finished at all or replaced with some of the final ones.
A bit of it could be the original team strongly pretending they didn't four or five of these from an advanced beta version so it's possible they willingly destroyed infos on them.

Those are still Nintendo and are still new games made by them. You can't single out specific studios and say that anything not made by them aren't Nintendo, especially when studios like EPD have been restructured to only make specific games under long development cycles. They are not Nintendo's sole development studio and its stupid to say that if its not made by EPD, it doesn't count, when most of their manpower is dedicated to Zelda and Mario.

Also, R&D has been dead for years. The successors, EAD and SPD have been merged into EPD, which is basically the joint Mario/Zelda studio. You won't see much else out of them and that's by design. Nintendo restructured it's gaming studios and development teams after Iwata's death so its not exactly fair to say that EPD is the "real" Nintendo.

Complaining that EPD/R&D/EPD don't make new IPs is stupid because that's not why those studios exist.
