Just treat jumping in that game similarly to SF because you will get assblasted otherwise, very few characters can jump more than once outside of the Assault homing dash.

I don't really like any of the characters in V right now.

I'm hoping that either Menat or Zeku are cool, but they probably won't be. The game is too offense-focused for my liking. It needs some better defensive options, like actually making V-Reversals worth anything. Hopefully they'll add E.Honda in Season 3.

The characters are mostly just normal people with, but there's a couple more out there designs like Merkava and Wald. I like them all really. There's a character for most kinds of playstyles in the game, it just depends on what you gravitate towards. There are a lot of rushdown/offensive characters, though.

I decided to start playing fighting games about a week ago. I have purchased on steam: Dead or Alive 5, BlazBlue, and Skullgirls. But I'm already kind of bored with them, although I've admittedly only played DOA5 for a few hours and the other two for just like 10 minutes each. Fighting games are kinda boring because I'd have to invest so much time learning all the combos and counters and so forth.

Not sure if it is being afraid of competition. WHat people don't get is that you can learn every combo in a game but it is all for naught if you don't know when to use it.

You can even take my example. I played a bunch of GG and SF5 but what fucked me over was all the decision making i had to do while dealing with pressure. I never learned on what to do and most things i tried weren't effective or place me in a even worst situation so i just dropped the games because i didn't know what to do.

People like to say that people avoid fighting games due to not wanting to be shamed for loosing, which is probably true for a lot of people, but some like myself can easily understand what is going on on screen and what i can do on every situation. it doesn't grant me 100% of win rate, especially because it is team based, but it is much easier to know why you lost so the loss doesn't hit that hard and you just keep playing it.

I faced my first Abigail as Cammy today and he's fucking huge and does a shit ton of damage, but I realized quickly I didn't have to space my moves as carefully as I usually do since he's got a giant hurtbox.

He tried to meme me with the whole super armor v-trigger thing but I feel like that would only work against brand new players unless you know how to confirm into your V-trigger. All I had to do was space him out while he tried to charge his punch and then go in for the punish. Basically don't use heavies while using the super armor as a security blanket because that's easy to see through. Use your lights more, I guess?

Learning to use a fightstick is much harder than learning to properly input DPs.
You might want a new controller if your current one is giving you issues, but wherher you want a fightstick or just another controller is up to you.
It took me roughly a month to learn to use stick.

Because I just got done playing some. I'm trying to get over some depression and general laziness.
