Should I buy this game?

It's kinda neat but I'd pay like $20 tops for it. Felt like they could have done much better than just another open world game.

meh, it's really not that good. People touted the car combat but it's pretty much just harpoon off a tire or spam rpgs.

yeah go for it, I got it on one of those humble bundles, its neat if you like those batman games.
The only thing I hated on this game is the fact that convoys dont respawn when you kill them cause those were fun to do

Don't remember them being that frequent and I thought they were cool.

I can't help but think they would have been cooler if you weren't expected to futz around trying to grapple loot while they persisted and they just existed for the atmosphere.

Yeah it's pretty good. Wait for it to go on sale for $4.99 at BundleStars which it does often.

I watched like half of the tutorial level on an LP and thought it looked fun so I got it and I was surprised at how good it was for a movie tie-in game.

Now mind you, it's not an amazingly awesome game, but it's enough fun for a decent price. The driving is pretty solid, car combat is done decently, and on-foot combat is pretty fun and not terribly repetitive over the course of the game.

I only saw the movie recently and enjoyed the game more than I did the movie.

I keep wanting to go back and play this every time one of these threads pop up but when I do, I am always underwhelmed.

Still, as far as underwhelming games go, it's somehow inoffensive. Maybe because it does some things well enough and there is nothing particularly awful about it...

It's a solid game. It really doesn't do anything new, but takes a lot of good things from other games and puts them together in one package. The scenery is beautiful, but it can get a little dull. It's a desert badland, after all. Combat is plain but it feels satisfying in a rather bone-crunching kind of way. The storms are cool the first time you're caught in one, after that you just look for the nearest outpost so they'll automatically blow over.

They're cool, but they go on for too long. By the third or fourth time, you just want the scrap. If you pick one of the small scavenging outposts to hide in, you get all the loot and the storm lasts less than a minute.

I bought this and MGSV at the same time.

Who would have thought Mad Max would be the more fun game.
