1. Dualshock 4 sticks are too close together and not as ergonomic but I guess that stems from the shape of the controller as much as anything else. They're rubbery and slippery especially when you're doing a lot of complex movements. You always have to "reset" your thumbs while the Xbone controller sticks are much more loose, solid plastic instead of rubber, and ergonomic.
2. 360 sticks went bad so fucking easily. Every single one of my controllers got stiff after 2-3 years. But at least it was Dualshock 3 sticks. All the reasons mentioned above also apply against the 360 controller.
3. Antiquated. They were... unique at the time but not even best. Probably the worst sticks of all time only saved by the unique controller design and layout. The Xbox S controller fixed them though. The positioning is FAR superior on the one controller. The Duke was unweildy. all the buttons are easier to press. The stick tuning is far better. The triggers are simply an upgrade.
4. lol this is the only generation Sony has had "good" thumbsticks. There is no comparison here.

The DS4 is by no means a bad controller. But the Xbox One sticks far outclass it. While the DS4 R1/L1 shit on the Xbone controller. The D-Pad is objectively better too. And I like the face buttons on the DS4 for platformers and fighters better.
I wish someone would just mash the best parts of the two controllers together to make the god pad.
Asymmetrical sticks.

Oh, I know about it and I prefer the older one. I like the SNES style shape, but would like it to have some sort of semi handle like you'd find on a Saturn or Genesis controller. The reason why is because the button layout isn't a perfect diamond, but slightly squished, making the X and B buttons closer to each other than the A and Y.
When you hold an SNES or CC your thumb is at a different angle than if you hold it with handles, so it feels more comfortable on the face buttons without handles.
I also sort of prefer the clicky ZR and ZL buttons being where they are, because it means you never have to move your index finger up and down. The less you have to move your fingers around, the better.

I'm sure there is some objective way to explain this better, but to me, the 360 d-pad has a bad habit of snapping to different directions than I want to hold. Like, you can press the entire thing down, so it's not on a ball like some d-pads seem to be, but when you want to go from left to right quickly, it rolls over up or down more often than not.
Also, it's glossy. D-pads should never ever be glossy.

The + shaped fulcrum causes it to wobble towards the diagonals, and it comes up too high off the pcb to even fully tilt in it's given space causing it not to register. 360 d-pad is the product of terrible engineering.

Something about the DS4's d-pad bothers me but it's been so long since I used the DS3's that I don't remember what.

I think DS4's feels more "stiff" and interconnected, ie. sometimes I accidentally press down when I intend to press right.

Also, note how the Splitter is something completely optional on other consoles, I did the same with a MixAmp last gen to hear podcasts while I played. On Switch it's not an option, it's mandatory. On the superior consoles (literally every other) you don't NEED it, but you can use it too.
Your argument is as stupid as defending Nintendo's phone app. You can say it has so many uses, but the problem is that you MUST use it if you want the functionality it provides. Every other console has 100% of its functionality in the system proper, no need to use a phone app, BUT (being superior and all) they DO have a phone app too (pic related) - difference being that it's optional and not mandatory.

Honestly this is my favorite controller. Feels good to hold, battery lasts forever and I can use it on my computer. I can't believe Nintendo won't let you use it for the Switch.
