Though obviously a stereotype, I feel like she was written with some character and verve. Her Confidant arc was also better and tied into the main story, plot-wise and thematically, in a way that few of the other stories did.
Just a cute girl who wants to make everyone happy but realises that she can't, and so it's better to kick ass once in a while and claim what you want.
