No, its not possible. I'm fairly optimistic in general and P3 is my favorite game of all time. But it's delusion to think well get a remake. Because you can't just put these models into the old game engine. To use these models would be a remake from the ground up. This isn't worth the resources for a company like atlus.

Now a remaster is a different story, retouching the old models and upscaling isn't anywhere near as much money or time wise.

Making Persona 3 HD is not expensive.

Let me prove this with capitalism

There's like 6 blocks and the whole thing is over 200 floors, it'll still suffer from repetitive shit plus what can you have in there? In 5 each dungeon was specific to the villain there and whole theme was based around it plus they'd have to condense the amount of floors if they wanna not make them empty which then goes against the point of theme of the game anyways. With P4 those were like 10 floors only anyways and Atlus was just lazy as fuck there.

But if you look at something like SMT1, it's abound with flaws and a waste of its good concept. I'd even say it wouldn't be a bad idea from a business perspective because people who play Persona but not SMT could be taken in by the real world setting SMT1 has in its first third and they might also finnd ti accessible because it is the first game in the series. I know the people who like SMT but not Persona might not like to hear that, and I'm not saying they should add Social Links into SMT1 or anything, but I do think it would appeal to a wider audience than a lot of other mainline SMT games do.

It works well as a cheerful game, I only wish it didn't adhere so strictly to that tone, like they do with the whole situation of Nanako dying.
