How does Waistland 2 compare to the oldskool fallout games?

Couldn't really tell you, Unity decided to shit its guts out in the middle of playing it.
Keep in mind I hear the special edition or remaster or whatever you want to call it is definitely worse than the original.

Mostly its not a very good RPG with more of a tendency on tactical shooter, but even then it's a bit simple. By comparison it has a similar level of detail in the world, it's just the gameplay isn't too robust with things like skill checks or how combat slows things to a crawl (start-stop-start-stop-start-stop-start-stop when you could ideally just have like one encounter per area)

Of the Kickstarter CRPGs I've played, Wasteland 2 is by far the worst.

They aren't really the same.

It's more like a post apocalyptic Divinity Original Sin than fallout. You have four guys, each of which you control and build. You go through various areas with different enemies and skill tests etc.

Washed out colours, MORE BUGS than the original, otherwise identical mostly as far as I can tell.
It's clearly repackaged for non-PC platforms.

10/10 character/party creation menu but the game is like 6/10

They're not very similar at all. First of all you play as just one character in Fallout and the combat isn't even remotely the same.
