Mine is medieval II total warhammer
>>385914148
There's no black people in Warhams so it's a good game desu
this is a nice thread
>>385914148
It appeals to those who think the warhammer fantasy reboot is hot garbage
>>385912626
I have only played shogun 2.
It was ok.
>>385912626
mine is medieval II total war
Crusader Kings II, closely followed by Total War: Attila
>>385914428
Shogun 2 is probably the last really great Total War game, problem is it has shit for variety, but it has all of the campaign map things that are great. Like being able to move units without a general and such.
>play medieval total war 2
>mod it with stainless steel
>build forts all around the overworld
>forts are actually solid stone ramparts as opposed to the wooden palisades in vanilla
based stainless steel
>>385912626
there is only one right answer
>>385915963
medieval II total war?
>>385916089
that too, but with stainless steel mod
>>385915961
>play stainless steel
>literally any heavy cavalry unit charges at me
>entire army routs
I just found out there is a Gothic mod out for this, really want to try it out.

mine is medieval II
mine is morrowang

It's crash fest, though if you are lucky you will survive 50+ turns, just remember Magicians and Shamans are OP as fuck.
>>385920827
Retard it's spelled Morrowind.
>>385921029
>It's crash fest
Shame, but that won't stop me. Thanks for the hint, alter Gauner.
Okay let's be serious. I have Total War Warhammer but not sure if it's that good. What's the best realistic entry in series which still looks good?
>>385914148
It's casual shit made for Warhammer retards who are used to paying out the ass for products so they'll milk the fuck out of it
>>385921143
I actually liked both Attila and Rome 2, you can check out those since they look quite good, although I have never played Warhammer since I don't care about that stuff.
Out of all the ones I played
Medieval 1 > Shogun 1 > Medieval Total war 2 > Rome 1 > Attila > Rome 2 > Napoleon
third age total war
>>385913976
>You are now imagining a M3:TW...
>... but it is filled with business practices of current Total War games.
>>385921547
and now with even worse AI somehow
>"No, listen anon. Warhammer is amazing and they are expanding it constantly with DLC. They are making WH2 and WH3 right now and once WH3 is out you can combine all the maps into a single mega mapâ„¢. It is great!"
>Paraphrasing a discussion I had with an actual human being.
It is because of these gullible idiots with disposable income that TW has fallen from grace.
>>385921547
I don't really care about the DLC fest shit to be quite honest. Before DLC fests we got samey as fuck factions. Now we get unique shit.
>>385912626
mine is skyrim. i may be biased by nostalgia but the fresh and fluid gameplay still keep me hooked after all these years
>>385922186
Update: Oh look the "real" fans of Total War have arrived to downvote me for not shaming CA in disgust for their DLC practices. Look, get over yourself, you're being whiny and entitled. If you don't like what CA does with DLC then stop buying their games. Its like getting onto a boat and gettingoff cause you hate water. Video games are a business, so at the end of the day, don't expect a free ride.
LMAO at all these poorfags who can't afford the dlcs so they cry and shit on CA
>>385922319
There is a big difference between a boat that is on water and a boat that is submerged.
>>385913993
it ruined and was the worst TW in series when it came out but now the same people who hated it praise it because muh nostalgia. Same will happen to Attila in next ten years.
>>385913993
Build a good economy and then steam roll people with mercs and holy warriors.
what total war game or mod has the right balance between units killing each other speed, units routing and ranged unit power
>>385923030
everyone unilaterally thought m2 was a rightful successor to rome 1 (as it is) and empire certainly removed any doubts.
>>385912626
Mine is Total War: Warhammer but I think they should've charged more for the DLCs since they were so good.
I hope TWW2 has more smartly priced DLC.
>>385912626
Gothic 2 is the only patrician correct answer, although VtM: B and Deus Ex come close as well
>>385924297
>I think they should've charged more for the DLCs
Neo-/v/, everybody.
>>385924526
>>385924019
All I remember was people whining how broken the AI was and that the diplomacy was just a shadow from Rome
everquest, but only when it was good on 56k modems and people on the internet were still civil
>>385924652
Not understanding the joke, neo-neo /v/
>>385912626
>>385912626
>>385912626
>>385912626
>>385924670
literally anything was a step above romes diplomacy, are you kidding me? rome was trade agreements or war.
>>385913993
Game is over hyped, one of the most basic mechanics of the game is fucking broken because CA is retarded and refuses to patch shit.
>>385921371
>M2 over R1
You serious?
>>385921371
Just glancing over Warhammer - the games seem to be just reskins of the same game. And at least Warhammer doesn't involve that much actual strategy, it's just about pointing where you want the units to go.
I'm glancing over Shogun 2 as that's interesting period in time where the horseback riding was still considered very lethal.
>>385926576
Warhammer...reskins
Might wanna actually look at it
Magic
Artillary
Monster units
Flying units
Lord's with skills
Heros in battles
Each faction is wholly unique rather than Rome and 800 barbarians with different colors
>>385926818
Okay, I see the point. So it's the other way around. The series was stagnated until the release of Warhammer which shook things up a little bit.
>>385913993
mine is medieval II total war
>>385925792
I love R1, I'd argue the campaign map part was better in R1, but I enjoyed battles in Medieval 2 a little more.
Both games had the best mods in the series though, strategos
>>385924905
Not understanding that not understanding his jokes was also a joke, triple-neo /v/
>>385912626
I can no longer enjoy medieval 2 after playing rome 2. Just feels too clunky now
>>385929720
Not realizing he was being ironic neo-/v/ x4
