Pretty bad. Was just a test bed for what would come out on xbox/gc/ps2. Much like how the nes sucked but was needed for the genesis/snes. Definitely not without its merits though, metal gear solid, banjo tooie, mario 64 etc were bretty gud

Not to mention pretty much every worth while 3rd party game that was available at the time rand better on the N64 then the PS1, and the saturn was a dead system.

PS1 does have a larger exclusives list, but most of that shit is hit or miss due to the fact that sony at the time was simply throwing money at anyone who would support the system and see what stuck.

64: Weakest overall library, but with a unique graphical/development environment which allowed it stand out. Has a few high quality games which made it worth having.

Saturn: Amazing potential only reached in its Japanese library of games. A virtual failure in the west though still worth playing for the few high quality games that did manage to get localized.

PSX: The undisputed king of its generation. With the best development environment, it managed to attract pretty much everyone and has a massive library of games with some genuine gems. A higher ratio of bad games than N64 and Saturn, but still a must-own for the various great games that it did have.

Bushido Blade & Bushido Blade 2, but that's about it. I'm amazed by how realistic BB's animations still are. The gameplay still holds up.

One of the weaker gens imo, devs still had to become familiar with 3D environments and before the dualshock controller came out devs had to figure out how to control camera movements so a lot of these games don't hold up very well today. The N64 controller had an analog stick but only one so even on that console 3D games had camera control issues.

95-98% of this gens games are bad. There are some top -tier games that still stand the test of the but almost all are outdated
