You can solo carry about as well as ever now. Both tanks and assassins are strong at the moment, which means you can dominate the match by outlasting their frontline in team fights or by getting constant picks on squishes.

Playing it right now. The amount of complexity it has is what makes it so fun. I play CSGO too, for that solo carry fun.

A matter of preference I guess. They've done a lot of updates to make it more team based and to change some old mechanics to make them more fitting in the modern era, rather than 2009.

Season 3 and before it was common as fuck to solo carry. Its gotten progressively harder over the years as they've added more rubber-banding mechanics, given support roles more gold and balanced for more cc, movement, higher base damage/burst and reduced damage from sustained damage dealers. Less fun to play solo, but more to play as 5.
