at first i hated colette for lying to Lloyd time and time again. about her quest, about her going to die on set quest, about her body going out of Control later on. i hated her for it at first but than realize she decided to carry those brudens beacuse she wanted her friends to treat her normally and not like some cancer patient that may or may not die soon. her hole Life she was treated like some angel and never really as a human being and taught from the begining of her Life that her dying for the people was a good thing. Lloyd and genis were the only ones who treated her like a human being and made her feel like a person. while i dont fully agree with her actions, i can understand them

If you go by Tales threads on /v/ then everything but Vespera and Symphonia are shit. So yes, Berseria was good and it restored most of my good-will after the disaster of Zestiria. Eizen a best and deserved a far better fate.

One of my favorite games. I also liked Vesperia, Abyss, and Phantasia.

Wish they'd remake these and port them to steam, along with Rebirth and Destiny.

They should also completely redo Legendia.

Symphonia's great. It's got flaws but by no means is it bad and some of what it does it does better than many, many other games.

I don't have high hopes for the next installment since Tales games are made with Bamco's F team and a shoe-string budget, but I hope at least the dungeons are more than pallet-swap corridors and instanced fields with a million invisible walls.

The NPC's were boring and almost always gave absolutely nothing, not even some interesting dialogue.

Exploring the towns rarely gave anything. Just a recipe if you were lucky.

Optional stuff was lacking IMO.

The upgrade system was shit, not even worth exploring for the most part because you can just buy or find the best equipment most of the time.

I finished it, but I was annoyed by a lot of what I was sitting through past the 30 hour mark

Not alone. While I don't think it's up on my top Tales of games, I did enjoy Zesteria for what it was and Tales of "Arche fucks like a tiger" Phantasia on ZSNES was my first foray into the series as well.

Vesperia still takes #1 spot for me though, just wish we saw the PS3 version released here.

Tales games have some of the worst dungeons and gameplay of any JRPG, minus maybe the combat. Thank fuck most of them are saved by their stories, except for garbage like Tales of Hearts.

It was never meant for best, it was meant for better than average.
