So I recently finished Persona 5, and I had a lot of fun playing it.

But I walk away from it feeling the same way I did after finishing up Persona 4.

I'm a bit sad that there's no real reason to replay the game, beyond an optional boss fight and fusing an NG+ exclusive demon. I think I'll hold off on that for a bit, since I've got other stuff I want to get finish playing/watching in the mean time.

I sorta wish they had included something similar to the Mega Man games where you could choose which Palace you'd go to next after the first one. I feel like it could add more variety to the game, making it so certain characters would join depending on which Palaces you hit and in which order. Probably tie it into the ending, as well.

Also I spent many hours fusing up and down, and using up skill cards I gained from persuading demons/electric chairing them so I could always have a super beefed up Arsene at my side.

I never did that in P3/4 and now I'm tempted to go back and see if I can do Orpheus/Izanagi only runs.

I'm playing through it now, the story is pretty interesting, but the combat isn't great. Random encounters can be incredibly long as the enemies have too much HP a lot of the time. The encounter rate is pretty high too, so it can be annoying. Experience is also dealt out proportionally, so if one character is doing all the work, the others are going to be left weak (I like this mechanic though). Also, I don't know if I'm just a dumbass, but when it says an enemy is weak to gun attacks, only rifles seem to apply to that, it seems that the other types of guns don't count for some reason.
