How do we improve card games?

you cant because once a meta is developed it stops being fun
>>385892357
You don't because >>385894595
Also TCGs are all fucking scams due to the nature of the industry. To keep making money, they have to make new cards. To get people to buy new cards, they have to be better than the old cards. Power creep kills every TCG.

I'm sure you can say the same about almost every single fucking game on existence. Yeah games can be still fun but the majority of the playerbase will try to copy "meta", play around the "meta", and blame on others when they fail at playing the "meta".Just like some ff14 faggots that only follow diagrams and guides from reddit to face bosses but fail,
and the leader refuses to use an strat that doesnt come from reddit and kicks everyone because it worked

LET'S REV IT UP

By playing games that aren't fucking basic bitch faggot ass mother fucker games!!!!

Do something besides a "1v1 life point race with creatures". 1v1 leads to stale metas and practically requires constant expansion.
Make a co-op card game where 3 players work together against a boss. Or one where 4 players compete over a central pool resources. Or do some sort of Mafia-style social deduction mechanic.
In other words, make digital card games more boardgamey.

This is literally why *cgs keep getting new releases.

This holy shit. All of these awful digital card games are just reskinned and stripped down MtG and everyone's pretty much done with that. I don't even play the real thing anymore. Even during the 90s tcg boom people were more imaginative than this.

TENDOU A SHIT
Play them in person.
Not even MTGO fully recreates the intricacies of playing the real game, for example there is a mana cap because the system can only hold so much.
leave it to the slavs

Lol
>>385901068
That's your example? Not something like reading your opponent's body language or shit-talking across the table?
>>385901129
It's underwhelming but at least they're trying to do something besides a Hearthstone clone
