I have gigabit internet. Full 1000 up/down. Have PS4 hardwired (PS4 has gigabit ethernet port). Still have shit download speeds. Problem is PS4 servers fucking suck hard ass. So much for Sony investing in their infrastructure after charging people for PSN.
I wish the Japs would get nuked again so they would be forced to rebuild their server infrastructure from scratch. Because this shit is shit.

Your local server that provides the files for downloads are full of users at peak times. Steam runs with the same issues but it's a lot more rare as PC players don't play games at release.

Never had this issue on PC since multiplayer games use peanuts for bandwidth. PC also has bandwidth control so you can download at the speed you want.

Put your PS4 in rest mode. That way game finishes downloading in less than 2 hours. When I downloaded Until Dawn which is 46GB, took an hour to finish downloading when in rest mode.
