Best Pac-Man spin-off for smartphones nobody played. It wasn't even localized by Bandai Namco, which explains why nobody knew about it. It definitely needs a premium game for 3DS or Switch.

I came into this thread because I thought the OP question was, "how do we make Pac-Man giant again" and Im disappointed.

Pac-Man has been great for a while now. Just keep the Championship Edition games coming and announce the Pac-Man Maker game which was trademarked recently. Also to this day they're still pumping out new Pac-Man arcade machines like that one with the huge display

The first one has better settings and atmosphere but I really like some of the out-of-the-way level design of the second one. They're both good games.
A Pac-Man World sequel could stand to have bigger levels, better physics, tighter controls, and more to the basic controls. I would also like the characters to be stylized more like the 80's artwork, the enemies and ghosts and even Pac-Man himself are a bit too bouncy and rounded out. Even as a sphere his 80's design had a bit more of an edge to it.

maze madness is the fucking best though, i love it so fucking much i wish that style would come back

Professor Pac-Man is an interesting character. In the original game it was Pac-Man himself as a professor, similar to how Dr. Mario is Mario himself as a doctor, but eventually he was turned into his own character, Pac-Man's uncle.
One could assume that Pac-Man's estranged uncle re-entered his famous nephew's life under this identity in an attempt to leach off of his fame, though he's not a genius or even particularly smart, and Pac-Man resents him for this charade, and sort of wants to blow up on him "You're a fucking cashier, Jim, stop using my fucking name" but at the same time he doesn't want to touch that or deal with the fallout, because he doesn't harbor any ill will against his uncle either. They're just going to pretend his uncle is a welcomed part of the family while he tries to act as "professory" as possible.
