I'm not even sure why it annoys me so much that they come in to a normal game and do that. Maybe partly because it's such an ancient joke that was pretty lame at the start.

For me, TF2 remains the best casual FPS on the market. I can just load it up and I'm not obliged to do very much. Just shoot or annoy the other team in whatever way I see fit. It's still pretty fun in short bursts.

Honestly, it's hard to decide when servers usually vary in terms of bosses. Years ago I played on this server with a LOT of bosses, very varied ones. You had more normal Hales like Easter Bunny and there were ones like Aatrox and Abe from the Oddysee series. Recently I got back into the mode but the server above died so I frequently play on this server which is oriented around more "vanilla" TF2 themed bosses, it's not as cool but still really fun to play.

Sorry if I went on a bit of a tangent there, I'd say one of my favourite Hales in the server I play on is Nopegineer.

It's honestly pretty close to that (or at least it use to be when causal didn't exist), with all the community servers. I spent more time on Mario Kart servers than I did in real games near the end of my time in the game due to how much more fun and easy it ended up being.

Unlike most of /v/, I dont hate friendlies, this game in some way encourages being goofy and silly, when it's not highly competitive.
I do not kill friendlies, but I try to encourage them to play, because going friendly in a server in which everyone is playing to win is very rude; yes being friendly is 'rude' depending if people is actually playing seriously or not.
If everyone happens to fucking around, conga'ing and shit, then I will just join the silliness, there is other way to have fun besides winning, and if you start killing people when nobody is actually playing, you're a just a cunt.
But everytime I see a hoovy on the enemy team, I encourage them to fight, because his team is spilling blood and guts to win, and he should be helping his team
The hate towards friendlies, although somewhat justified, is highly unnecessary, and raging like an autist doesnt solve anything, try talking to the friendly in a calm way, if he refuses to listen, then just carry on with the game, or votekick, whatever you prefer

We both know very well that a single spy will ruin your day, if you happen to be all alone on E, and if you're not playing in a server full of easy difficulty bots, you will get the entire enemy team to rush your nest, and you will get instantly wrecked.

However, this actually a good thing, if the whole enemy team got distracted by your single nest, then your team is free to cap A.

I don't really go out of my way to kill friendlies, but I have no qualms about doing so.
Usually I just set them on fire and walk away. It's humiliating when you try to get a head/uber off one only for him to kill you with a crit fist.

Im gonna miss it, I like to play on this custom weapons x10 server, where the definition of x10 is just "make everything broken"

The Panic Attack is a fucking beast there, spits out 20 shotgun rounds in about 3 seconds, fucking ahnialates anything with less than 500 hp at close range, especially if you get the drop on them or come up behind them. Pretty much great on any class, but pyro + powerjack + stock flamer for rapid fire airblast is the king of broken shit. You move stupidly fast and can outmaneuver and kill anything except sentries and heavies with 800 health. It has it's flaws, you take shit tons of damage and your accuracy falters when you do, so at 150 hp it's pretty hard to hit anything, and at >100 hp it's downright impossible, even at close range. But if you're actually taking damage, you're playing the "Panic Sanic Pyro" wrong.

My favourite moment was on rd_asteroid when there were a bunch of faggots with mics who got insanely butthurt at it. Some of them complained, others tried to use it themselves, but since i'd spent the prior three months fucking mastering it, they didn't even stand a chance. Their tears were tasier than ambrosia.

Grenades didn't have falloff so direct hits using old stat LnL now does 120 damage. That's a death sentence to a lot of the characters in game. The Direct Hit works with this gimmick because rockets have falloff.
