I hope you're not being serious, right after planes it's the easiest thing.
>>385839429
I am being serious, they don't feel efficient enough for me.
16 years old and it still holds up
>>385839673
Oh that. Well certainly, they're meant to be the easiest, most affordable means, no possible crashes or collisions, low cost of vehicles and stations, low maintenance cost, so they can't be as efficient as the rest obviously. It's ideal for short distances, or straight lines, or huge cargo quantities, because it's cheaper to have a thousand little trucks swarm the roads than any amount of planes, boats or trains.
Now for everything else, planes and trains is where shit is at, boats and road mostly help to add some life to your map and make it look good.

Original X-Com is absolutely timeless.
I've replayed SC4 constantly throughout the years, but haven't played SC3K in almost 20. It's on GOG now though, got it on sale for like $3, lost the disc forever ago.

Ah dude I gotta' play Sim City 4 again, where to torrent if pirate poo doesn't work. And also does anyone have those pictures of setting up transport systems and planning roads, the guy who made them showed up in the last Simcity thread.
>>385838797
As another Anon, I only played up to 3000 and didn't care for SimCity 4.
Does it add anything above 3000?

Basically a trading simulator during the time of the Hanseatic League (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hanseatic_League). You try to gather wealth and power and rise through the social ranks until you become a mayor or even the "big boss" of the Hanse.
Of course you can also choose a path of crime and play as a pirate, attacking other traders or even whole cities.

Simcity 4 Deluxe+NAM is still the holy grail of citybuilding, yes.
