It was a cute idea and the music is good. Unfortunately the game runs like shit despite the simple art style and mechanics that really shouldn't be that demanding. The game doesn't even go past 30 in PS4 and 360 for some reason.

It's also a pain in the ass that they couldn't add a simple highlight to what you're going to interact with, making half the struggle of the game pressing A and hoping you pick up what you wanted to.

I really wonder how horribly optimized this game must be. I thought the point of that kinda art style was to make it run perfectly fine at 60fps on any rig. I get it's to be expected with an indy dev that they wouldn't have perfect optimization, but I get the feeling this is a major case of way too many polygons per model and them grabbing an engine and using some default placeholder effects for things like volumetric dynamic smoke when something far simpler woulda done the job, especially with an overhead camera.

The Switch is a cheap underpowered piece of garbage, but there's no reason a game like this still shouldn't be able to run at 60 fps considering Mario kart can do it.

So 20fps is even more unacceptable.

If they were good games, their game would have real online multiplayer instead of just couch multiplayer.

Hopefully they fix it. I am not big on the game myself but I was going to gift it to my sister because she loves the game. And while I already gifted her the Steam version, getting all the different gamepads working properly at the same time in order to play the game properly has at times proven to be bothersome.
I figured the Switch version could make things easier.
