I've read various post that said it's really rare to get a case as well. I think they even warn on the page for retro games that most of what I listed may not be included.

Grats though, I'm just not up for taking the risk for the same price I can verify with a Ebay/Amazon seller if the game has the case and contents.

Buyfag here. I buy for the game and the disc, not for the case and the manuals. If I can replace the case by just printing another one in the same quality cardstock, why should I pay $30+ for JUST the case, when the GH version ahs the exact same game and disc?

It went the opposite direction in PAL territories. For PS1 platinum games just had a tasteful metallic tab and spine at the bottom of the case instead of the standard black one. PS3 greatest hits are packaged in some bargain bin looking abomination.

Incorrect. If you're talking standard UGCs, they're actually 3 CM thinner then the original SNES boxes. They're also much more protective, and actually keep the contacts safe from dust due to ebing air-tight. Keeping the cardboard box for the sake of keeping the box is actually more damaging to the cart itself.

I think I got lucky. I bought Suikoden 1 and Friends of mineral town from them. Both were basically brand new. Only thing missing was the plastic wrap. Even the cardboard box on fomt was pristine.
