I don't know I only played dragon quest vii and I'm still only 5 hours into xi

there aren't many decent monster designs in the dragon quest games in general.

anyone mess with XI files on the 3ds? Im trying to change the battle menu to english. Did it with VII when it first came out in Japan.

I feel like that's one of the things that would have the least amount of impact since even if you know absolutely nothing of japanese, not even kana, you'll have the battle options kind of memorized in no time.

I assume it would be more helpful to do the skill trees and shit so they know what they are putting their points into.

the soundtrack upload on youtube is like 6 hours, but the game having "20 tracks total" is very believable for a dragon quest. (I haven't listened through the soundtrack so idk how long individual tracks play, and it doesn't list how many there are)

yeah true but the text wouldn't align properly with the skill tree so I wouldn't even bother with that. I just want to play the 3ds version just to see how far I can get. When the US version comes out im getting it on ps4
