Back to where they came from, hopefully. The Souls series' full potential was exhausted after Demon's and a half of Dark. Since then everything's felt like a slog. Except for Bloodborne, with its fresh action elements, but that didn't last for very long either. All in all, should've stopped after Demon's.

I don't know, man. DaS definitely surpasses DeS at times but eventually the enjoyment wears off. I love playing DeS all the way through without ever getting burnt out but a lot of people would agree that it's hard to keep playing DaS after Anor Londo. I'm not even a "half game unfinished" fag. I enjoy tomb of giants, duke's archives, new londo, and I probably like izalith more than others. The fun just goes away for some reason.

They really need to put out something at this point. Bloodborne 2 would be safe enough, and from what I can tell Bloodborne wasn't hard to put together the first time.

They just need to make sure they don't overthink the story, keep it fresh, and not worry too much about having callbacks to the first game. Weapons and item pool can stay small and streamlined. Only real thing I want to see is a shitload more clothing sets, better covenants with true invasions, and a true beatshood mechanic that makes the player larger and much more powerful, at the cost of only being able to heal from kills and blood echoes disabled, as well as attracting endless amounts of hunters both online and offline.

Can someone give FROMsoft the license to Eternal Darkness already?!

I never said 'when' they needed to put something souls-like out, only that they should. I never said it had to be this year, either.

If they stop making Souls at the peak of its popularity though, someone else is going to swoop in and cash in on it, which obviously is already happening. and there's shit I like from this franchise that only Fromsoft will do.

I've not played Dark souls but Bloodborne was so easy it put me off the entire series.

I went in blind and platinumed it in 10 days, never having played a Souls game before.
