Ports is a meme, but at the same time, the Switch is such a great platform with the ability to go handheld or play on my big screen TV at ease. If I could consolidate my whole library onto it, I'd be a happy camper.

Revelations 2 is so bad I can't believe anyone would want to buy it a second time for another system. Easily the worst Resident Evil game of the past 15 years.

Revelations 2 was made on dimes and it shows. It was a low, low, low effort project that was moderately successful, so they lose nothing from porting it.

Revelations 2, while feeling odd and not an amazing game is still solid and fun. You get Claire and more Barry finally. Plus the missions aspect of the game is great for portable. And even if you hate Moira and Claires face, at least the fan service outfits help.

It was the opposite actually. Rev1 was made with the purpose of pushing the tech of its original system to its maximum potential. Still one of the best looking 3DS games too.

Rev2 was made with the opposite idea in mind and looks like a game from 2005, despite being for the PS3 at the end of its lifespan.

Rev 1 is awesome. Great characters throughout besides Conan O Brien

Claire in Revelations is second only to Nu-Lara

Low effort game as some people have stated. But also because since its a game that will at least sell well enough to not be a big loss. They are essentially using it as a project so that their devs can get some experience with making stuff for the switch that they can at the same time profit from what is mostly just experience training.


So they essentially make money at the same time as they train their dev nerds to code for the switch. That at least for now is the reason that ports are being made for the switch since its a much better idea to get customers to subsidize their employee training other than actually investing it without profit from said training.

Basically if you bought a switch in 2017 or 2018, you will get nothing but shit ports and un-optimized garbage.

The right time to buy a switch will be in 2020 if and only it's still popular, and has an upgraded 2.0 version available. Games will be better optimized and more bug free.
