AVGN should review FF2. That game (Famicom version and Origins version) has so many "What they were thinking" moments, even though of all NES FFs it also had the most potential if it had been refined.

This is basically FFX in a nutshell. Everything is way too padded. Bosses, conversations, travelling, minigames. It's not a game that respects your time.

The only good that came out of it was porn and Wakka-posting.

I'm going to disagree because that scene happens so frequently in the franchise.

FFXIs was so over the top it rounded out into some kind of festival of tears. After defeating the cloud of darkness/void boss you wake up in the crystal/land of the dead and are guided to meet with all the major heroines from every story in the game because they came to save you. You literally sit down with them and recall the old days from the start of FFXI all the way to the finale. Then Iroha guides you to the crystal and thanks your for a wonderful 14 years and how beautiful an adventure it was and it was the best time of her life.

Then, while she's vanishing with a smile because the future was saved, they play a vocal rearrangement of the very first opening screen Final Fantasy theme march complete with a Nier Automata Ending E style chorus of developers, the three composers, and the most prominent players of FFXI singing the la la la part of the march.
