Arcanum is an RPG so you can be as aloof as you want. There's no moral compass at all in Magicka, and usually encourages you to just magic your way through every problem.

Playing sorcerer in DDDA may involve some positioning and casting but the spells, especially fully charged, are pretty devastating.

They're impressive, casting the death tornado on a bandit camp and watching dozens of enemies fly up and get thrashed to the ground to their deaths was the simplest thing but it always left me grinning like an idiot.
