Here is the revised schedule. This is about a year into development and after receiving over 80 million dollars.

Long term it was delayed so it would have greater fidelity.
Reality is, they suck at scheduling.
And they more closely said 3.0 would be ready by end July.

There's still been progress on the game though.
I'm more closely expecting the game to come out, there be a lot of activity to begin with but playerbase just die out as everyone crashes their ships, CTD's and loses their ships because of a bug and there being no easy way to get credits to buy more ships.

This is not true if you add them half way through the project, it actually slows the project, but it is true if everybody is there from the start.

If it was a serious project but a good leader it would never be star citizen. They would have started with a single player experience since it's a brand new dev team. Completing the single player game would teach them far more and get all the pipelines running smoothly. Then they could transition to a more adventurous project with a better foundation.
