Not OP, i agree there's tons of great game maker games, but very few that actually include the splash screen, implying the dev couldnt be bothered to spend a literal dollar to grab it off a humble bundle which happened at least 2 times a year before gms2 came out

Unity and Game Maker are game engines, they can handle games and there are good games made in both.
Java results in Binding of Isaac running at 25 FPS.

Binding of Isaac was made in Flash, not Java. Java's a decent language. They've improved on the GC quite a bit and it runs pretty fast now.
