I ONLY played SOTFS. They are both Dark Souls 2. SOTFS is just an "improved" version.

That said, I saw a review later that said SOTFS was garbage and was far too frusterating, which was my issue playing it as well, so I don't know how the original compares to it.

i legitimately liked the vanilla version more. the way they put statues everywhere for no reason other than for you to backtrack was annoying as fuck. and i also thought a lot of the new enemy placements were retarded.
