The worst part of RE6 is just how unmemorable the entire campaign is, including Leon's. His is the least bad because IIRC it didn't have as many gun-wielding zombies but overall it was meh. Also they keep forcing the AI partner on you, the inventory system is complete and utter shit, and it somehow manages to look worse than RE5 which is probably due to nearly every level being dark as shit.

This will never not piss me off. Leon's campaign is the worst time I've ever had with a mainline RE, period. It's the only thing in the entire series that I'd sooner replay RE5 before revisiting, and I fucking hated RE5. Chris's handled the action better, Jake's handled the setpieces better, Ada's handled the survival horror throwbacks better, and none of them had bosses as egregiously awful as Simmons nor had side characters as unbearable as Helena. It was so goddamn bad.

5 was alright but with 6 and 7 Capcom plays to the audience instead of buckling down and just making a good game. Fuck global shooters. Fuck what P.T. could have been. Get back to your roots and make us a single player zombie game where everyone double-crosses each other. Too many cooks in the kitchen.

This is probably my favorite last gen game. I went back to it just a few days ago after months of not playing. As soon as I started up sherrys' campaign I was blown away all over again at how good this shit feels to play. Just running around is fun, and this was on a PS3 that runs the game at like 30 fps at best. Blasting snipers off of their feet and shocking dudes never gets old. That ice cave does though. Anyone that hasn't beat the game on no hope on a console isn't qualified to criticize it.

Chris's campaign is the shittiest as an RE but the best at the action game that RE6 desperately wants to be. And let's be honest here, anyone who wants an honest RE isn't going to defend RE6. Might as well accept the game on its own terms or dismiss it outright, but I feel that writing Chris's off as the worst is meeting the game halfway and there is zero point in doing that with RE6.

Played it through in co-op with a friend over the last week too. There's a solid foundation of combat mechanics in there, but it's letdown by poor level design, padding and overstaying its welcome. We were both clearly very tired of it by the time we reached the Ada campaign.

Didn't try Mercenaries mode but I can see why people would consider it the highlight, as it seemingly plays to the game's strengths.

Good waifus though and Deborah becoming THICC as furak was real fucking neato.
