For long range it's just practice. Though if you're quick, a grid square on the map is 1km, use that to find the distance to landmarks to zero your weapon.

you want to use m2 hold at short range as it compensates for recoil a little and you can see more.

The game is played in rounds. A single round is roughly 20 minutes. There is no persistent world, no zombies, no walking for hours, no persistent character. If you die you are out of the game. It's DayZ but you remove all the boring shit.

I assumed I'd get absolutely slaughtered until I'd played for a long time and got the hang of it, but it turns out the control interface is pretty solid and the fact that all the other players are casuals and children means its not that hard to come out on top. I was making it into the final rounds after just a few games, it really is a great fucking rush and I love knowing that most people failed to make it there.
