Because it leads to black people that's why.

Will there ever be a game set in medieval times which accurately depicts the racism of back then?
>>385740656
Witcher 3?
>>385740784
You mean the racism against Elves? Not accurate, there was no racism against Elves in medieval times.
>>385738778
Because Oblivion wasn't a good game
>>385740656
what was racism like in the medieval periods?
Were people with other skintones seen as more exotic, as demons?
>>385741256
You're right, it was a fucking excellent game

Depends on the area.
England thought of the blacks as typical hethen scum, slave material, non-human, etc, from basically the Crusades straight into the 1800's.
Japan/China on the other hand saw foreigners, even to the point of only having 'gold hair and blue eyes' as highly curious and exotic, though still barbarous. The few outsiders who made distinct impressions in those cultures during late-feudal though were badasses who were basically made honorary chinese/japanese.

Oblivion is a fantasy game, there are other things to hate like elves than other humans just because they look slightly different.

change a few words and you get Skyrim

>thinks blacks wouldn't be discriminated against if elves existed
Elves are supposed to be beautiful, majestic and noble, logically they would not be discriminated against. Blacks still would.

What racism? The "no black people live in my country so all I've ever heard about them is that there's this strange people living in a distant part of the world who are a weird colour. Huh, weird!" racism?
Fuckin' blacks are more racist than whites these days and were back then as well.

Oblivion has a lot of problems but you know you're full of shit when you start bitching about the quests. Oblivion's quests are great.
>>385741910
If we're talking about foreign bad asses, we need to mention Yasuke. Black man ended up in Japan, becomes one of Nobunaga's most trusted samurai. If you were playing Nioh and you thought this dude was just added for racial diversity, think again motherfucker.

that's a road?
>>385746327
The sad thing is, this is clearly cherry picked from Oblivion, but every single one of Skyrim's quests look like this.

>becomes one of Nobunaga's most trusted samura
There were no black samurai.
You had to be born into the role of samurai. If you weren't from the right family, even if you were 100% Japanese, you would never be able to become one. A foreigner would have absolutely no chance.
He was likely just a bodyguard.
