Unless you have a stolen bike report placed that same day, and the bike isn't in your house, that won't hold up in court. If it happens more than once it also won't hold up. If you say a friend or someone else was riding it, you still have the bike, and there's no stolen report, it will be taken and impounded.

Not even. Modern 300s are really quick. An R3 will do 110mph if you ask it to. Plus they're better for beginners than 600s which often fall into the categories of either supersport race replicas or bog standard naked bikes.

Getting a 300 is a perfect start and from there, they can decide what they want from bikes.
