He wasn't. He wasn't shown in the game's opening, the PVs, pic related, and some other crap. Which was a really stupid move because it just made it obvious that there's something suspicious going on with him

I've hit a wall with this game, I was convinced that as soon as it dropped I was going to blaze through it in a week because of the wait but instead here I am months later with Futaba just joining the party... What the fuck I liked all of the other games enough to beat them relatively quick and replay them multiple times but this one just bores me to death every time I play it. Anyone else have this problem?

I had the opposite problem with 3 and 4 the mind numbing random dungeons and nonexistent pacing made me put it off for months at a time, while 5's proper dungeons and constantly having a villain to deal with made me want to binge through it.

Of course, anyone who plays the game past the first 2 dungeons will see he's the one who betrays you

That's true I tried to go back and play 3 and 4 recently and ended up being bored with them as well... Maybe I've finally grown out of being entertained by the anime type characters and stories of 3-5

I put down the game in the same spot after burning through it up to that point. I just need to start up and I'll start again. It's hard for my old man self to get through games > 30 hours. I usually start to peter out and have to come back. No issues when I was young, but now I just can't do it nearly as well. Games that waste my time are especially heinous
