Yeah I keep hearing people going crazy over it and I can't imagine I'd hear the things I do from the people I do for just a generic anime VN so I'll give it a shot.

by the way does anyone know how to change settings in this game? it started with controller icons for me for some reason and I'd rather have it changed to KB+M so I know what buttons to hit. It also looks like its resolutions pretty low and I'd like to bump that up a bit too. Esc just brings up hints for me

The resolution can go up to 4K without a problem, but the character aren't isn't terribly high res.

DR 2 is even worse in that aspect. Downright ugly and a step back in some areas.

That's pretty much how I got into it, I probably have 120 hours between both games and all achievements. They are really excellent games and SDR2 is an excellent example of how to make a good sequel. The DR3 anime is a clusterfuck though. Between its viewing order, character assassination and actual plot the whole thing's a mess and really only worth it for the memes it brought around. View that at your own risk, even though after the games you'll probably want to see how everything plays out.

A lot of it seems stupid out of context but in-game, with the designs and the soundtrack everything just clicks into place. It's better than the sum of its parts.

And just so you are warned OP. The "main" overarching plot is a complete mess after the conclusion of the first game. The individual cases though are like blowjobs on christmas.
