it has aged like shit. the graphics are too shitty to be considered good. the gameplay is a joke too

maybe, just maybe FF9 would barely be the only exception.
but the FF9 remake on the PC is wayyy better

There generic games remembered only really for nostalgia, without nostalgia they are just generic. Same for shit like lunar and golden sun.

Chrono Trigger is extremely mediocre aside from the great presentation. Gameplay is more shallow than the average JRPG.
Same for Earthbound, a worse Dragon Quest that only stands out for the unconventional setting and writing.

My first time playing the game was actually on PS1 because the SNES version was impossible to find. Didnt mind the load times when I was younger, im not sure how the hell I got through that. The opening was pretty great

I enjoyed and finished Chrono Cross multiple times with it's shitload of filler garbage characters but somehow I can't get into Chrono Trigger.

I get about 4 hours into it then lose any urge to continue, this has happened several times.
