It is objectively better I stated why. Dark Souls is hindered by lack of buttons. Forcing you to press finicky combos that don't always work in order to do leap attack or kick when you could just press a key on the keyboard or on your mouse buttons.

And you can't roll while sprinting with controller due to lack of buttons so they mash it all together, roll/sprint/jump all being the same button.
