Chain vulcan sucks because you should attempt to end most fights (or at least get weapons and shields down) as quickly as possible and chain vulcan is designed around the opposite of that.

Best weapons in the game are burst lasers mk II, flak cannon and small bombs.

Valve SFX is generally pretty bad when it comes to clipping but the shotgun in Opposing Force is literally a square wave. It sounds more like the gun is breaking apart than firing anything.

Probably the worst weapon in the game at this point, too.
It's a direct downgrade from the Shotgun in every way-- range, damage, projectile speed, clip size-- unless you're playing on a map with no ammo packs or enemies are literally just standing in a straight line waiting to be shot.
Of course, neither situation ever occurs.

Not him but I think the pistol in HL2 is fine mechanically, you get a shitload of ammo for it, it shoots quickly, and does pretty okay damage.
It's just the firing sound for it is fucking awful.
