Take out the Doggy sections and this is the best Zelda.
What where they thinking
It's still the best Zelda even with them in.
>>385669419
I cant go fast in the over world with the spin top.
Fuck this game.
>>385670024
it has the weakest start though.
-herd goats
-give fish to cat
-get the cradle
Just fucking start already holy shit
>>385669419
>>385671228
It's not bait if it's correct
>>385670832
its to set up link as a farm boy
WW had you exploring the island and everything, TP had you doing chores
takes out the dog sections, and its still far worse then OOT / MM
>>385671470
Okay but it doesn't make it any less of a weak start
>>385671576
I didnt think it was that bad. It wasnt great I guess, but the only bad part I really remember was the sword tutorial being unskippable. But its not like WW didnt make you fight orca every time too
wolf link and the grating sound design, tone and large space of gray visuals singlehandedly brought this shit down to an 8/10, and then you factor in all the other horrid shit and this game quickly becomes nauseating.
However im not an impatient fag who bitches about slow starts. Im a fan of them and i think it adds to the experience on the long run.
>>385671721
play the HD version or the emulated graphical patch. Makes it much more enjoyable
>>385669419
take out the wolf sections and it's still the blandest 3D zelda.
>>385669419
it's my favorite Zelda by a pretty wide margin, but honestly the beginning is what killed it for me. The game just seems to drag it's feet for so long for no reason up until you finish the first dungeon. Then it picks up steam and is a pretty nice experience, but damn, that intro. I tried to play through it one more time so I wouldn't want to play the Wii U remake, and that really did the trick. I still bought the Wii U edition for collector's purposes, but I have no desire to play it purely because I knew I'd have to do the first hour of the game all over again.

>However im not an impatient fag who bitches about slow starts.
Keep patting your back but that doesn't make it a good design choice, grand sage.
>>385671870
>bland
Nice use of buzzwords. I prefer not having a gay flag color palette but actually good dungeons over the shit we got in BotW.
>>385669419
Retards complain about Zelda being a rehash but the real problem is the exact opposite, it's too eager to constantly reinvent the wheel and fails to retain features of previous games. TP was a mostly iterative sequel and that's a good thing, it finally felt like the series was building on previous installments rather than rejecting them. But then Skyward Sword and Breath of the Wild came along and shit all over that. We need another TP-like Zelda again. Take Breath of the Wild as a base but give it strong core content and build on its features. Especially the combat, there needs to be more combat techniques (that aren't ridiculously OP like flurry rush) and way more enemy variety. BotW finally removed the excessive handholding and pointless gimmicks that had plagued previous titles but also lost a lot of the Zelda identity, it threw the baby out with the bathwater. It needs a sequel to right the ship.

Am I the only person who prefers Zelda hubs to be tight and focused like in Majora's Mask instead of being empty fields with nothing to do?
>>385672624
Just give me ACTUAL dungeons, bosses that don't all look the same and don't make the last boss the easiest fight of the game
Then I'll be happy with whatever
>>385672783
TP felt very focused after having just finished BotW
at least to me
>>385672783
Not at all, I prefer concise hubs over "muh open world" any day. The inevitable sequel to BotW should have a more condensed world and focus on quality over quantity.
>>385673324
The success of it might bring something more along it's lines, sadly.
>>385671470
Red Dead Redemption started the same way except worse. People rarely complain about it.
>>385674198
Except it made sense since it's a literal western game
>>385673324
But that was Skyward Sword and while that game was fun, I hated how it was a fucking puzzle anytime you wanted to go anywhere in the world. In BotW I ride around endlessly sometimes just because it's fun. Simply combining the open world of BotW with the dungeons of TP would make for a much more compelling game.
>>385676194
>but it dosent make sense because link literally isnt a farm boy i-wait hol up
only the wolf sections in tp were ba-
>>385669419
I liked the doggy sections, playing as a wolf was cool as fuck to me
Still the best Zelda
It's my second favorite Zelda behind a Link to the Past. I liked the story in it a lot and the combat was the best in a Zelda.
the fact that the moblin i liked and the whole dungeon that went with it wasn't in the game is a deal breaker for me
>>385680736
This wasn't bad at all as far as escort missions go.
>>385683804
>moblins in TP would've had horns
>mfw no face when they brought back that aesthetic design with the new moblins in BoTW
>>385669419
hey
bring me back the souls of 26 bugs
doggy sections underated
>>385669419
Remover the human part and it becomes a better game
>>385669419
The only bad doggo section was the first one though
The game is a major victim of a slow start. Once you finally get to the first dunegon its gold from there.
>>385685119
and by "section" i mean the tear things. The twilight castle segment was perfectly fine as well.
I was going through the games codes and I came across this deleted cutscene?? I don't know why Nintendo left it out. It seemed pretty relevant to Zelda's character development
Thoughts?

I'm clicking this expecting sfm porn
>>385680736
that was a perfectly fine and not annoying escort mission. It was basically just another horse combat set piece.
