My first job I ever had was working in an arcade during the summer holidays when I was 15, fixing the machines and general stuff like that. I didn't get my growth spurt until quite late so I still had little dainty hands and was only around 5'3 or so, so I was a dab hand at unjamming clogged ticket reels and getting into the electronics without having to take the whole thing apart, and at the end of the day i'd get paid cash in hand. One job that has stuck in my mind was when the punching strength machine wasn't giving out tokens anymore and none of the lights came on, I had to climb up where the ball comes down from and was fiddling around with the electrics board. I heard the typical jeering and laughs of a crowd of drunk lads so I was about to come down out of the machine, then started to panic when I realised I was stuck and couldn't get out the same way I came in. I heard the lads putting money into the machine, not realising I was up there, and at the same time my bollocks fell out the leg of my shorts and dangled through the gap, I heard them shout "right deano you go first" and I was yelling "wait!!" but they couldn't hear me over the obnoxiously loud music playing in the arcade, There must have been about six lads all taking running haymakers on my bollocks while I was screaming in pain, trying to pull my bollocks out of the machine. In fact they swole so large I couldn't get them back through the gap and finally through some smart thinking I was able to get my mobile out of my pocket and phone my manager to come down and stop these lads giving my bollocks a bashing, then he had to get the fire service to cut me out of the machine.

Generally got grounded or banned from vidya for either not sharing the computer or kicking my younger brother's ass when he decided to unplug the PS2 while I was in the middle of Max Payne or GUN. Truth be fair, I was just really enjoying myself with those games.
But my Uncle got the idea in his head that video games make people violent because of the Max Payne incident and forcibly made me return it to a friend I was borrowing it from.

Playing WoW for 8 years ruined a lot of real life friendships and several relationships because I prioritized the game over reality.

Barely passed my final year of high school for prioritizing games over homework and projects. I picked art as a throw away class since I didn't need it to graduate. I'd just play Valkyrie Profile on my PSP the whole year in that class. There was kid with literal down syndrome in that class who'd always come up to my back and watch me play and he was so close I'd hear him breathing, and the teacher would, instead of telling me to put my game away, tell the retard to leave me alone. He was pretty cool. He smoked with some of the students sometimes.

Two times but one of them is not as bad as the other.
When I rented Monster Hunter I kept it for so long that they let me keep the copy since I basically bought it. This was Blockbuster.
The worse one is suddenly having a 200 dollar overcharge on internet despite being told before we had 'unlimited' which was a crock of shit. I downloaded lots of mods.

Playing Game Boy in church. Some old lady sitting next to me slapped me, even though I was maybe 10 at the time. No one seemed to think this was inappropriate for her to do. She waited around after church service to inform my mother of how "terrible" I had been, and my mom took my Game Boy and gave it away to some neighbor kid.

I didn't even like going to church, but my family force it on me. They were pretty pissed when I told them I didn't share their beliefs into my adulthood, and that I wouldn't be forcing similar beliefs on my own children. We hardly talk now.

Lost my gf in high school from playing WoW. I kept telling her there will be two nights a week I'll be raiding, please understand, but she would always call a dozen times and want to talk about stupid, inane shit each go. I don't have a problem with that on the off nights, but I've got 39 people counting on me to show up, so I can't be the guy who lets everyone down. She would spend upwards of 3-4 hours on the phone with me if I let her.

Eventually, it came to a breaking point where she got mad and ran off with another guy and a couple of her girlfriends. She did it just to piss me off, but I said fuck it, if you're going to do something like that, I'm out. And then I wound up regretting it because she did actually mature into a reasonable lady a few years later, but it was too late then.
