I enjoy overwatch, but I don't care in the slightest how popular it is.

The general trend is league, dota, cs, hearthstone, pubg ALWAYS in the top five, then overwatch, gta and wow swap around.

The game is just really boring. All strats amount to "group up and use enough ultimates to wipe their team. It's basically impossible for a single player to make a massive player by themselves because the game is so built around healing and ultimate stacking. CSGO has much higher skill cap in both single player skill and team strategy skill.

Overwatch is a massively accessible game with a low skill floor that focuses on teamwork and being forgiving to the individual. This has made it a success among a wide audience.

However, it also has a relatively low skill ceiling, and its team based nature and forgiving cooldowns and timers means it's not very compelling as a competitive game.

That means that the first three streamers are pretty much half of the whole Overwatch streaming community.

If you don't know Twitch: If a game has a lot of streamers, but around half of the views are generated by the first few streamers, this means that not the game is important for the viewer, only the streamer is important.

I don't even know if Overwatch can be rescued. Even with the perfect balance, hero shooters getting boring really fast (not counting the TF2 autists).

The only Twitch streamer I watch for Overwatch is Dafran. The combination that he is the No.1 Overwatch player, but at the same time a throw addict makes him god tier to watch. All those Reddit butthurt about MUH THROW4DAFRAN MUH OverwatchISIS is just entertainment. Dafran is pretty much /ourguy/ and the only reason to ever watch Overwatch. He makes fun of Seagull, Sinatraa, Kephrii, and every other tryhard. He destroyed Selfless and even throw live in a tournament.

His stream two days ago was god tier where he threw with a new account. It's shit that he isn't streaming a lot anymore though
