blazblue is a bad series and it has been for almost a decade

fundamental problems like shit throws, the handful of characters that completely rape everyone else at the top with a couple almost comically bad characters in the bottom tier and the drive mechanic making the majority of the cast fall into one of two playstyles (buff yourself before you get to be a real character, or properly conserve this meter that makes you a real character) have never been fixed or even attemted to be fixed, every single blazblue game is like this.

At the same time blazblue also fixes too much shit with every game. nobody wants to learn how to play a character only for the next patch/game to come out and suddenly the properties of all your moves are way different and you have to learn a bunch of new combos. CT jin and CF jin might as well be completely different characters for how unalike the properties of their moves or general playstyle are. every blazblue game heavily changes the system mechanics before realizing that the changes are stupid and busted and trying something else in the new game, with only a rare couple ideas (like not having to waggle to escape ice, something the team brought back for persona because they're morons). How many different ways has blazblue tried to prevent infinite combos over the years? or the punishment for being too passive?

it's almost troubling how the developers find brand new ways to make the same stupid mistakes to handicap their own game over and over, and it speaks to a combination of how good blazblue is in spite of itself and the sunk cost fallacy that people keep up with this shit and take it seriously

When a martial artist spars or fights for the first time they quickly default to fighting like any retard on the street. The only way to use complex techniques during real combat is to burn them into muscle memory through drills with a partner. Practicing by yourself is just to learn to do the thing at all, you need the drills to apply it.
Fighting games are no different. Arcade mode is where you should go to practice combos once you can do them in training mode. So long as the AI isn't on the flawless input reading monster setting, they'll be dumb enough that you can just focus on finding an opening to use a combo, then actually using it. A very skilled player can also use an unskilled player for this purpose. As a simple example, if you can't reliably hitconfirm c.mk into fireball you would go into arcade mode and do nothing the whole match but try to land c.mk so that you can land the fireball afterwards. Ignore winning or losing, that shit doesn't matter, all that matters is being able to pull off the combo reliably. Once you can do it well in arcade mode you'll have an easier time doing it in a real match.

I enjoyed CF's story for what it was, but there was one thing that was a giant let down for me and that's how they handled Azrael.
It was bad enough that he got manhandled by Kagura, even though he was beaten to a pulp in CP, because this time he had the power of "MY FRIENDS" and got ganked by Jin's ice prison, but I was so certain he was going to make a comeback at the last second.

If you turn off Anti-Aliasing (default being 1280x768 4xMSAA), the graphics card requirement would be next to nothing. The minimum recommended spec is literally a 2007 graphics card.
CPU requirement similarly is almost as old, even though the store page is vague with its "i5 / i7".
My second gen i5 from 2012 only uses about 20% CPU and I'm playing at 1080p with 4xAA.

My main issue with BB is how most of the combos don't seem as straight forward as other anime fighters, mainly do to the character D button gimmicks. Finding good combos for characters like Litchi or Kokonoe wouldn't really be possible on your own if you didn't know what you were looking for.
