No surprise that a dull attempt was made to save face for the dullest franchises in the history of movie franchises.

Seriously each episode following the boy wizard and his pals from Hogwarts Academy as they fight assorted villains has been indistinguishable from the others. Aside from the gloomy imagery, the series’ only consistency has been its lack of excitement and ineffective use of special effects, all to make magic unmagical, to make action seem inert.

Perhaps the die was cast when Rowling vetoed the idea of Spielberg directing the series; she made sure the series would never be mistaken for a work of art that meant anything to anybody?just ridiculously profitable cross-promotion for her books. The Harry Potter series might be anti-Christian (or not), but it’s certainly the anti-James Bond series in its refusal of wonder, beauty and excitement. No one wants to face that fact. Now, thankfully, they no longer have to.

>a-at least the books were good though
"No!"
The writing is dreadful; the book was terrible. As I read, I noticed that every time a character went for a walk, the author wrote instead that the character "stretched his legs."

I began marking on the back of an envelope every time that phrase was repeated. I stopped only after I had marked the envelope several dozen times. I was incredulous. Rowling's mind is so governed by cliches and dead metaphors that she has no other style of writing. Later I read a lavish, loving review of Harry Potter by the same Stephen King. He wrote something to the effect of, "If these kids are reading Harry Potter at 11 or 12, then when they get older they will go on to read Stephen King." And he was quite right. He was not being ironic. When you read "Harry Potter" you are, in fact, trained to read Stephen King.

I saw J.K. Rowling at a grocery store in London yesterday. I told her how cool it was to meet her in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother her and ask her for photos or anything.
She said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”
I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but she kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing her hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard her chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw her trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in her hands without paying.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Miss, you need to pay for those first.” At first she kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, she stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, she kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

I'm no fan of Harry Potter, but I'm amazed that there was never a Bully-like sandbox game set in hogwarts. It's a perfect setting for a video game.

Instead, they went for fucking third person cover shooters.

Safedisk DRM doesn't work with modern Operating systems get a noCD patch or get it off TPB, you want to limit the framerate to max 120 as FPS spikes will cause the game speeds up like crazy making the game borderline unplayable.
See video for instructions for windowed/FPS limiting.

If the graphics are messed up switch to software rendering.

You're welcome.

No, neither the fact it was a script nor strong black Hermione was the real problem.
The real problem was that the plot itself was crap filled with nonsense bullshit like Death Eater Cedric, valiant hero Snape, and Harry's entire family and all his friends coming together to witness his parents' murder. No amount of rewriting could have saved anything past the first part. The only half-decent thing about it was Scorpio.

Hermionie has been a white girl for the entirety of the series and the name is iconic to the face, but then last year or the year before (I think around the time when Alan Rickman died) Rowling suddenly decided that Hermionie had been black the entire time, just because "lol I never said anybody's race in the books lol."

Fucking 20 years worth of movies, merchandise and everything else, and it's really all said and done at this point, and then she wants to turn around and try to be "politically correct" or what the fuck ever.

There was some part in the chamber of secrets for ps2 where you had to jump from platform to platform in some greenish dungeon, and these ghosts were flying back and forth or some shit and would knock you off while jumping.

These stupid ghosts knocked me off so many times I raged harder than I ever have in my life and I turned around and kicked my couch.

Weeks later I found out I apparently kicked it so hard I broke my foot.
