It may not be much different than 'git gud' but you'll just have to grind out most stuff. I would offer you some advice, but I don't know much about Leo. The trick for execution difficulty is visual cue sometimes

If you can do the combo up to the 2nd jump cancel, then do your part of the combo, wait for visual cue to hit that jump cancel. GG's combo has a few strict part that you have to be semoi-on point with input.

Try this, don't hit jump until you see the last hit of the move before the jump cancel connect. You should be hitting jump cancel during the hit lag of that move. Consiously look and focus on that visual cue and you'll land it

Most of his moves are quarter circles so it will be pretty easy to build the muscle memory. For the most part you want to try to get deja vu seals up whenever you can so you can limit your opponent's options. Ky is easier to learn at first, but as people learn to simply hold down back and react to greed server or even guess it, you have to play better. At early even, for some reason, people forget to block when Ky is pulling out grinder or stop blocking as soon as grinder end and try to hit button even though Ky is running at them right there and can continue the block string.


After beginning level, Ky get harder as you have to learn how to pressure, frametrap and respond to how to the opponent's play. Ky has a lot of tools but none of them are extremely good that you can depend on to abuse.

I don't really have alot of trouble with her. I get my counters and I start my combo's from there but where the fuck are the tools for her damage. A situation where neither player is at the advantage really and both are trying to gain an advantage, it's notable because it's a point in the game where both players are actually playing it. The problem starts when you get games that are very 'tech' or set-play oriented like Marvel and Guilty gear, where one player manages to get in and the game basically becomes single player where the defender has his options limited immensely and is effectively making a guess repeatedly until he guesses right and (usually) escapes the situation as a result. A lot of people don't like it because it reduces the game to guessing and repeating the same situations over and over.

Some games are very bad for it, and GG/BB are basically designed around it. GG wasn't always, but around slash was when they decided balancing was hard and that they should just make every character setplay oriented because the setplay characters were always the good ones.

Good taste, but I gotta disagree on your assessment of gg, especially regarding corner fireball okis. There are a ton of defensive options to get you out of that type of trouble and reverse the situation back to a neutral or advantageous position. I'd agree that at beginner or low-intermediate levels the game would seem one sided and unga heavy, but at higher levels against a player that knows good meter management and his defensive options, the game isn't nearly as boring as you're making it out to be. I actually enjoy playing neutral in GG because of high level of mobility, big ass normals, and crazy projectile coverage the game have. Many of the MU can be neutral heavy. It's not the most neutral heavy game but the neutral is fun when it happens. I also learn to defend and pressure better which is another interesting aspect

Also, loving neutral is like a new "overrated" thing that everyone claims they do but actually don't that much. Everyone claims neutral is super fun and important also hates rose and elena in USFIV, the characters that abuse neutral and tries to extend them as much as possible. Even in GG, tons of people hate sin who is the most neutral heavy even if it means his tool is extremely strong for it

You don't need to combo of his stuff much though. Most of the stuffs are just 1-2 normal into rensen. Biggest combo is the from an anti- air confirm, 6H counter hit or a throw into air juggle and bomber ending. Hardest combo is that very bomber combo but loop twice. The stance combo looks pretty easy as well.
