I wouldn't know since I've come to the party so late GZ was literally my first MGS. I instally switched to The Twin Snakes right after, followed by MGS3. now I'm currently playing 2.

Not OP but I'm in a similar boat. Only recently got into MGS but tried playing them in order with the HD collection. 1 has aged surprisingly well despite being really clunky, and it's easy to see why it's considered a classic. 2 has also aged pretty well, but has some problems that stemmed from Kojima feeling to shake things up a little TOO much for the sake of fucking with the players. 3 is technically impressive, but really unfun unless you're god-tier amazing at it or don't mind shooting everyone instead of sneaking. 4 is next on my list and after all the shit I've heard I'm kind of dreading it.

Seriously, the game wants you to sneak but then hands you a gun and says "Whatever happens between you, those guards and these bullets is between the three of you." Give me back my radar so I can fucking sneak, Kojima. If the pain can teleport a tommy gun using hornets then I can have a radar that fucking works.

Seems like the majority of people place the first 3 games at the top with some variation in order. Is Kojima still going to be able to make Death Stranding good after fucking up the last two games (intentionally or otherwise)?

I never actually use guns outside of bossfights since it's easier to just tranq them anyway and I found out the hard way that the game doesn't really like you to go all guns blazing

I tranqed all the bosses for their camo and mostly tried to play non-lethal. However, the guards must have been mainlining cocaine and meth because they can hear you crawling if you're close to them, and it becomes obvious that while sneaking is what you're *supposed* to do the game actually incentivizes you to kill people excepting the fight with the Sorrow.
