Can I complete RE1 if im a brainlet? Im not the smart type

I've played all tank control games in the series back to back and right now I'm just sitting around, shitting myself that they'll fuck up REmake 2 and won't give it nearly the same treatment as 1.

All I really have to do is finish REmake with a knife and invisible enemies, and I can't be arsed right now.
