I emulated Final Fantasy V once, it's ont of my favourite games but I couldn't even finish it because touch controls feel like trash, I couldn't even bear it on a turn-based game.

Started Metroid Zero Mission, but cramping my fingers for virtual trigger mapping got old.
Doom Touch had horrible sensitivity issues, so I've been sticking with XCOM:EW

Record Keeper, Brave Exvius, Mobius, Fire Emblem Heroes, Fate Grand Order, Magikarp Jump, Duel Links, Dokkan Battle, Fallout Shelter, Chain Chronicle, and Metal Slug Def/Att.

Now I only have Dragon Quest I-IV and Drastic with a bunch of puzzle games and JRPGs on it. I would put a PS1 emulator on my phone, but iso take too much space on microSD cards to make it worth it.

Yes if you want a bit of competetiveness. Also obviously, you can't compete with p2w guys but the thing is, you don't get to play them either. You get to play with the same level of players, and how he got there (super fast because he bought stuff or f2p) doesn't really matter. Legendaries can make a difference but they are really hard to get and even with p2w, it's not guaranteed. So I'd say, give it a try.

Going through the app store made me realize that Kemco is still around and kicking, and that they exclusively make RPGs for mobile these days. Also that their logo hasn't changed since 1997.

One anon in a thread about a month a ago maybe suggested Chaos Rings III, but $20 for a mobile game seems kinda steep.

touch buttons wouldn't be so bad if individual elements were easily scalable, movable, etc. Retroarch controls for example the hud is entirely controlled by a gorrillion config file edits, no simplistic drag and drop setup on touch devices.

There is a good fucking reason to why mobile gaming threads keep dying anon and I'm going to let you in on the well know secret, 99.9% of mobile games are garbage.

The only half decent ones are ports of games from consoles/pc and emulators.
And they still suck becuase they lack the tactile controls that are necessary to play them.

So, until the ''app'' bubble pops and bankrupt all of the shitty app developers, we won't even have any ''meh'' mobile games. And even if it does happend, you would still be forced to wade through all the shit that both Apple and Google have let loose onto their app stores.

Chaos Rings 3 is the best money I ever spent for my phone.

you could buy a droid if you really wanna spend money, and yeah you can definitely skip construction time, but its incredibly expensive and not worth even a single bit past the first few HQ levels
my recommendation is to dont spend any crystals early on, do your campaign and extract the rocks around your base, and then at about HQ level 4 you can get a new droid
