Are you talking about the faceless demon? Use the Godhand and just spam the square button if you don't know any new combos. GodHand is not that hard if you time your dodges and guard breaks.

Most of his move you can dodge with up on the dodge stick. First time I played the game I would just save God Hand for the demons but after doing a kick me sign run I realized they are not too hard. Staying on the offensive is the best strategy with them imo

You can map your moves to certain buttons outside of the Square combo like triangle and stuff. What the game doesn't tell you about is that there are a couple of extra moves that you can do by doing triangle after a dodge (based on dodge direction) which open up the combat system even further.

dodge left/right and immediately press triangle and he does a roundhouse kick that sometimes (harder difficulty score makes them more resilient) knocks them over. dodge forward and immediately press triangle and he does an axe kick that bounces them off of the floor; do another dodge forward + triangle while they're in the air and he does a different roundhouse that launches them.

I think there was a dragon punch as well but I forget how to do it.

oh now that I'm remembering, there's a sweep if you dodge backwards and you can do a flying kick like bruce lee if you press triangle while dashing.

yeah, I forgot the axe kick too. After the axe kick launcher you can press l stick forward + triangle for a knee strike that adds more height for combo gods. Never seen a dragon punch though

sounds like you haven't even looked at your techniques, press the start menu and check techniques, all the moves you have currently assigned will be shown and also any special effects (guard break, unblockable etc.) and dont put a guard break in your normal combo, they do very little damage and are fairly slow, assign it to back+square which is where your first guard break move should be assigned anyway
