I just finished 1. Great game overall, top notch atmosphere, weird bugs like the escorting commands resetting after cutscenes or the psychos on the car in the garden respawning after you kill them.

What were the main complaints about this game? I played this on PC (with time and durability cheats as usual) and it wasn't good but imeediately afterwards I tried to go backwards and play DR2 and I uninstalled after two or three hours. Number of zombies on screen was like 1/10 of DR3, controls were too clunky in general. What did 3 do that makes fans think it's so much worse?

There's just something lost in the transition. I'm of the minority who enjoyed 3 (playing it all co op helps), but I know 1 and 2 arw better games. The sense of surving with what you have is lost when you can make a nuclear weapon out of a wrench ane hot glue, none of the psycopaths are remotely interesting or memorable like Adam from 1, you can totally ignore survivors with no negative repercussions. It feels very soulless because of this.
