It's been a long time I've been playing Online games, I've always took English as my predilection language.
I rarely speak french on a online game, if I do, it's because the entire server IS french.

I gonna admit that sometimes, some of us are total cunts. Especially 12 yr old kiddos. They'll refuse to speak english, they are incompetents, immature, and don't know shit in english.
And even if I tell them to speak english only, they'll say something like : ''Nique ta mère, fils de pute''. I think you get point.

In the end, frenches are like TF2 pyros, the good ones are rare.
