Honestly, they should've made you being an Inquisitor a much bigger focus while giving you more difficult choices.

For example having to decide if you put a village to the torch or not. Making time a bigger issue.
For example you can snoop around to come to the proper course of action or spend more time to try and solve it with a minimal loss of life. Time would be a valuable resource and you wouldn't want to waste it since the problems you're trying to solve are spreading across the land.

It would make it more interesting and give it a greater sense of urgency.
