turned out pretty easy, grinding now to kill that dragon. Might treat myself to membership now that im an adult with a job. Funny thing is all my nostalgia is for free world play and members stuff would be all new to me. dont know how to feel about that

Bear with me, I didn't get membership until I was 12 or so in 2011.

I just feel like when I finally set foot in P2P Karamja, there was just.... a big square empty jungle. Same for Al-Kharid. Not to mention the world just ended into a void at certain points which felt pretty lazy. And it was so much more empty. I know RS was always a single-player centric MMO, but Ardougne felt soulless. Not to mention as RS started its downfall circa 2012 the P2P areas got way less visual updates and the entire thing started looking very inconsistent.

Maybe it's because you came so late. Most of the P2P areas feel like they have just as much personality as the F2P areas, if not more. Sure, some parts of the map are emptier, like Karamja and the Kharidian Deserts, but they're supposed to be vast wildernesses. People just remember the F2P areas the best because that's where they spent the most time.

My favourite time, honestly. That's around the time I started getting into more high level content and levelling the shit out of Slayer (which was also great because they added Kuradal's Slayer dungeon in the ancient caverns). I felt it reached its peak around then.
